Recap
To recap my life the last few days and my lack of posting:
1.) I got a job as a 7th grade geography teacher. HOLLAH!! My first day was today. I was there from 7:15am to about 4:45pm. Then I had to go to Mardel to buy cool posters for my classroom (duh), and fill up my tank for the coming blizzard.
2.) I was at the lake all weekend at an amazingly awesome yoga retreat where I bent my body...

What Goes Through My Mind During SOTU
So, yes, I did miss approximately 45 minutes of the State of the Union, but once I realized this mishap I quickly tuned in. I decided to be one of those obnoxious people who constantly tweets commentary during a big event, and I have now become even more obnoxious and compiled them here into a blogpost.

Susan G. Komen Foundation Elbows Out Charities... →
This is one of those things that really grates my nerves. Saw this on NBC Nightly News tonight. The Komen Foundation does not own the phrase “for the cure,” and even so, why does it matter if all of these organizations are attempting to raise money for a cause, most for the same cause? It shouldn’t matter what they call it, as long as they’re fighting against something....

Terrifying
Every time anyone begins to seriously discuss what it would be like if Sarah Palin ran for President of the United States in 2012, I have a minor anxiety attack.
The thought of her running this country absolutely terrifies me. And I only wish I was exaggerating. That woman scares me.
I do feel smart watching Meet the Press while drinking my morning coffee, though. :)

Today's Meals
Breakfast: strawberry yogurt parfait with Yoplait strawberry yogurt, vanilla granola mix, with strawberries and blueberries mixed in. Delicious.

The Ingredients for the Perfect Winter Day
- a very comfortable bed with a very soft and cozy heating blanket
- a cup of coffee in the morning to be replaced by a cup of hot chocolate in the afternoon
- an array of lovely books to read and become lost in
- warm soup, preferably chicken noodle or French onion for lunch and dinner
- absolutely no place to be
- a TV with DVD player if interested in watching movies

I want to go here so bad:
Beautiful beaches, majestic temples, delicious food, and an exotic and wondrous culture. Yep, give me a one-way ticket to Thailand any day and I’m there.
