My favorite book, Sarah’s Key, was recently made into a movie with Kristen Scott Thomas. It was of course, made in France and thus is in French with English subtitles (although parts are spoken in English). It was released in France, Europe, and even Australia to wild critical and viewer acclaim.
It was released in America six months later on Saturday. Limited release. Only playing in NY and LA.
Ugghhh.
There was a long huge rant here about how Americans suck when it comes to foreign films, but I decided it was far too dramatic.
That coffee vending machine in the common area of Cavilam in Vichy. We’d get a 5-10 minute break during our 3-hour morning sessions, and everyone would congregate around the vending machines, one being a coffee vending machine.
Why has no one brought this lovely invention to America yet??
Wish I had taken a picture of it. Google Images is not helping me out.
I cannot imagine my life without these people. How nice it was to be in Nice with them.
And how I cannot wrap my mind around the bonds we’ve created after only spending a month together.
My favorite part is how my hair is still wet from swimming in the Mediterranean Sea, pictured right behind us.
One of my favorite pictures. It’s been my desktop picture for about 6 months now. These are some of my favorite people in the world. It is amazing how no matter where life takes us and no matter how much we grow, we’ve still never managed to grow apart. That is what I call true friendship. TLA.
