100 years ago today, at 2:20am, the RMS Titanic sank in the middle of the north Atlantic after hitting an iceberg at about 11:40pm, April 14, 1912.  1,500 people died in the icy cold waters that fateful night.  May they forever rest in peace.
(And yes, this is my homage on tumblr.  There are some parts of history that people seem to grab onto and obsess about, and for whatever reason, I became obsessed with the Titanic and everything about it when I was 9 years old.  Yes, part of that was because of James Cameron’s epic film with heartthrob Leo and beautiful Kate, but there was something more that captured me back then than a film.  It was the 2,200 stories of the passengers on board.  And the 1,500 stories that will be lost forever.  There is something so tragic and yet somehow romantic about what happened 100 years ago, and I think that is why so many people are so fascinated by it.  And so this is me expressing my fascination.  RIP.)
